Adele to perform 'Skyfall' at Oscars
In one of the more logical moves you'd expect from the Academy Awards and a leading original song nominee, singer-songwiter Adele will perform "Skyfall" at this year's Oscar ceremony.
Adele and Paul Epworth wrote the song, the first to be nominated for an Oscar since 1981's "For Your Eyes Only." It will be her first live performance of "Skyfall" anywhere and her first live appearance on American television since the 2012 Grammys.

A native of Los Angeles raised by two parents and "Hill Street Blues," Jon Weisman ankled his scriptwriting career and began working for Variety in 2004, subsequently serving as associate editor of features and television reporter before becoming awards editor. He promises not to use this platform to retroactively campaign for Oscars for “The Misfits,” though he’d feel justified in doing so.
