See all this year's Oscar best picture nominees in one sitting
Want to see all the Oscar nominees for best picture in one place? AMC Theatres is offering its seventh annual showcase of the contenders at more than 100 locations nationwide, Feb. 16 and Feb. 23.
Some locations will split the films into two groups, with "Amour," "Les Miserables," "Argo" and "Django Unchained" screening Feb. 16 and "Beasts of the Southern Wild," "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Zero Dark Thirty" on Feb. 23, with each program beginning at 10 a.m.
But at 12 locations, including the Universal CityWalk, there will be a nine-picture marathon beginning Feb. 23 at 10 a.m.
Tickets are $60 total for all nine films, or $30 and $40 for the smaller packages.
By the way, if anyone does the one-day marathon, I want to hear about it. And then I want to call your doctor ...

A native of Los Angeles raised by two parents and "Hill Street Blues," Jon Weisman ankled his scriptwriting career and began working for Variety in 2004, subsequently serving as associate editor of features and television reporter before becoming awards editor. He promises not to use this platform to retroactively campaign for Oscars for “The Misfits,” though he’d feel justified in doing so.
