I'll never forget the time years ago that he snuck me through the back of the Palais, through winding corridors, and out onto the stage of the Lumiere for an impossible-to-get-into press screening. He drives a moped through Cannes. On the other hand, Sony Pictures Classics's Tom Bernard, here at the Carlton Terrace with co-prexy Michael Barker, rides a bike to meetings.
