Britney Spears to be Tarantino's 'Pussycat'?

Quentin Tarantino is a busy man.
First, there was news of his wining and dining Brad Pitt to star in 'Inglorious Bastards.' Then, we hear that 'Hostel' director Eli Roth, in fact, landed a 'Bastard' role in the World War II drama.
Now, rumors are swirling that pop-star Britney Spears has been approached by the director to star in a remake of the cult-classic, 'Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!'
Whew! And you thought Paris Hilton was busy...
I know what you're thinking: "Britney Spears? The only thing she's acted in (besides 'Crossroads' and 'The Mickey Mouse Club') is TMZ-vision!"
But before you lash out at Ms. Spears (or Mrs. Federline or whatever...), please consider a few things:
1) This is only a rumor. It may have about as much merit to it as an Elvis sighting.
and
2) If true, she would be purrrrfect. Not only would the film renew Brit-Brit's career but Tarantino is a campy movie God, not to mention visual poet.
So while pop culture fans entertain the thought of such a union, let's only hope the Weinsteins aren't considering Lindsay Lohan for 'The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman'
UPDATE: Elvis sighting, indeed: Our own Mike Fleming says Britney's reps at William Morris have not been approached about this. In fact, there is some doubt as to whether Tarantino is even involved in the project.

Tera Patrick was the rumored casting for that role--though of course I have no idea who she is.

It would be great casting. Tarantino revived John Travolta's career, maybe he can reinvent Britney's.
