Twilight Stars Take Over IMDb's STARmeter
Twilight stars Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart top IMDb's STARmeter, which measures weekly rankings of who gets the most hits on the site, which is visited by 57 million visitors each month. Twilight stars have taken over the top ten: Edward, Bella, Rosalie, Carlisle, Alice, Jasper, Jacob, Emmett, James, and Charlie. Amazing.
1 Robert Pattinson
2 Kristen Stewart
3 Nikki Reed
4 Peter Facinelli
5 Ashley Greene
6 Jackson Rathbone
7 Taylor Lautner
8 Kellan Lutz
9 Cam Gigandet
10 Billy Burke
Needless to say, Summit is wasting no time moving ahead with the sequel, New Moon.
UPDATE: The question of whether or not Catherine Hardwicke will direct it is still up in the air. Negotiations are in progress. She is the director of the biggest opening ever for a woman director. Her agent is trying to get her paid: will it be what a man would get after delivering the successful launch of a huge franchise? Summit also has to calculate, if they are willing to walk away from Hardwicke, how upset the fans will be if she leaves. Apparently, there is some debate as to how to focus the second movie, which focuses more on werewolves than vampires and deals with Bella's depression after Edward leaves her. One issue will be how to get more Pattinson into the film.
Here's the trailer for Pattinson's next, Little Ashes:

I saw Little Ashes at Raindance Pattinson exceeded my expectation and is very convincing as Dali and as the film progresses he grows into the Dali we think we know.Pattinson and Beltran both give very intense performances and you totally buy into the Dali/Lorca relationship. The actors had great chemistry with one another.
The sexual aspects of the story are handled beautifully. The scene between Pattinson and Beltran in the moonlit waters is so incredibly beautiful and it probably ranks as the most gorgeous looking scene I've ever seen. The cinematographer on this film needs a pat on the back as does the composer and costume designer. The scene where Dali watches Lorca make love to Magdalena sounds titilating but actually is a heartbreaking moment and Pattinson is incredible.
The growing fascination between Lorca and Dali is beautfully played out and the script has obviously been crafted with care and attention. The director deserves much praise for handling this film with such tact and sensitivity and I hope it gets picked up for a decent cinema release.I wont spoil the end for people but its particularly tragic and Pattinson really shines in this key moment.

I am not surprised about Robert Pattinson being number one. He is hot right now. The camera loves him. I am excited to see what other projects outside of Twilight he will do. I think Little Ashes looks interesting. It certainly is a daring role for him.

A friend of mine saw this film in London and still raves about it. She didnt go in as a fan of Pattinson's but she left the cinema as a big fan of his. She even went and bought a book on Dali so I'd say he succeeded.

My Mum saw Little Ashes at Raindance (I was so green with envy). That will teach me for not being based in London) and she loved the film. Rob and Javier were fantastic in the lead roles. Javier has the bigger role but both of them were exceptional as far as my Mum was concerned anyway. I'm looking forward to seeing it with her.

Saw the film at screening and Pattinson and Beltran had wonderful chemistry. Both actors got the essence of the characters. Pattinson's role was harder as its so easy to go over the top but he pulled off a wonderful performance. The film looks visually stunning. A totally engrossing and absorbing film. Fangirls of Pattinson will have much to enjoy. He makes a great on screen drunk and has excellent comic timing. Javier Beltran was excellent and has the larger role of the two roles but he doesnt have that little extra special quality that Pattinson has. I suppose thats what they mean by star quality.

This is just the sort of film I love. With the added bonus of Pattinson I'm going to be in heaven.

Replacing Hardwicke would be the best thing they could do! She is a terrible director!
Maybe if they hire Katherine Bigelow or some other woman who can direct.
Hardwicke doesn't deserve to be paid top dollar!

This IS the question, isn't it? I would say absolutely not.
I would like to read an article about what has emerged as one of the most interesting stories behind the success of Twilight.

I think Katherine did an excellent job but got into loggerheads with Summit producers about Rob screen time in New Moon!Just the fact that I've seen "Twilight" 15X is to me
obsessive, but I never get tired of it, because I've been a film student most of my life. Each time I see something else, I love the technical editing, cinematography, and set designs, but most of all the star power of ROB!! He is going to be bigger than James Dean, the Beatles, even Clark Gable!! He's the best English import of all TIME!!! He's not only a
consumate actor but his voice and music are like "MY OWN PERSONAL BRAND OF HEROIN!!!! Can you imagine how great he'll be in his 30's???? This wonderful Human Being is a gift to everyone on the planet, he transcends all ages, sexes and barriers! LOVE YOU ROB FOREVER

Mark Morgan & Maverick have several lawsuits for breach of contract for not paying back loans. How can Twilight make $500 mil and MM&M not be able/willing to pay people?
