Williams Works the Crowd

Williams_5Wilmer Valderrama stood out as the only young Hollywood hipster at the annual Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation’s Los Angeles Gala, Making Magic Happen, which he emceed Wednesday night at the Century Plaza Hotel. The fundraiser honored Robin Williams who charmed the crowd, which included Billy Crystal, Cheryl Hines and Angie Harmon with his usual — and Wilmer_6 still effective — jokes; notably his imitation of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about stem cell research, which made the audience break into laugher. On a more serious note, Valderrama told On the Town about the work he has done with the foundation. “I’ve played basketball with kids in wheel chairs and visited hospitals,” he said. "It’s been the most awakening experience I’ve had." (E. Bertet)
