Douglas' Love of The Game
Michael Douglas may have looked confident as he hit the golf course at the 9th Annual Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf event on Sunday with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, but the actor has admitted to often getting a case of stage fright before teeing off. "I've been in front of cameras all my life, but that first tee, standing over that ball that's not even moving, it's scarier than doing a movie," he told Golf Digest. While this particular tournament was held at Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Douglas, who credits good pal Jack Nicholson for introducing him to the game, has played all over the world. "I'm a member of a club in Santa Barbara and L.A. one in Majorca, another outside London, and New York City and then a couple in Bermuda," he has said. "I'm a golf-member whore."
