A day after WGA members launched an AMPTP spoof site, the AMPTP has launched an actual upgrade at www.amptp.org -- one that includes a real-time calculator of what the AMPTP says the strike is costing writers.

This is what the new high-priced PR team the AMPTP has come up with? Ooooo scary. Big unrealistic numbers that have nothing to do with the reality of how much a writer actually makes. Can't wait to see the AMPTP.com spoof on this.
Hope the studios aren't paying those high-priced PR schmucks by the hour.

IMHO, seems like a clear backfire. All this will do is show the public just how much the writers are willing to risk to get a fair deal. Thanks for the help, AMPTP!

They should have a counter up of how much the strike would be costing the writers if we had a fair deal. Gee, AMPTP, that would sure be nifty!

The WGA should start a counter that shows how much the strike is costing the AMPTP, what with NBC giving advertisers $500,000 each, numerous features being scuttled before they enter production, poor box office receipts for major films that didn't have late night promotion, and plummeting TV ratings across the board.
And isn't it amazing that the AMPTP is able to calculate how much the strike is costing writers, but they just can't POSSIBLY figure out how to make money off of Internet downloads and streaming!
