Latest bit of picket theatrics planned by WGA will unfold Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Johnny Carson Park next to the NBC complex in Burbank.
WGA supporters have been tubthumping the Pencils 2 Media Moguls campaign, urging the faithful to buy boxes of the lead-based implements in a symbolic display of support for their favorite scribes. Guild sez more than 500,000 pencils have been purchased and will be distributed starting Tuesday with a bid to deliver some to NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker. Then the pencil parade will move down the road to Disney for a delivery to CEO Robert Iger, and then to Universal with a delivery addressed to Zucker's boss, General Electric chief Jeffrey Immelt.
WGA members expected to take part in the event including Joss Whedon, Ronald Moore, Carol Barbee, Al Gough and Miles Millar.
