Well, they're almost correct. Law & Order Criminal Intent is a rerun from the USA network from the fall season, but it is new on NBC.

Hopefully we'll soon rid ourselves of all these new episodes. Only then, after many reruns, can we begin to hope that people will start to turn off their televisions and venture out into the world. Maybe families will learn to interact in fun ways and do things together. Maybe new hobbies and interests can be initiated. We need to break the addiction and the strike is the best thing to happen to this country in years.

I know this is not a non-sequitor but after seeing just one episode of Jay Leno and the (I mean a) daily show with Jon Stewart, I don't really care that there is a writer's strike, I'm just happy that I have my shows back.
The exception given to these and others shows must be limited to just a few weeks(no more than three), and then go back to reruns to keep the strike on the mind of the public and put pressure back on the AMPTP

So, all the wonderful pickets back happy to catch up on holiday gossip - are you going to pay my rent so that my dispossess notice goes away? Are YOU going to explain to my landlord that you have "values" that mean I am still out of work?
May I live with any of you or do you prefer to visit me in my car, I'll park near where you picket...
I'm not being sarcastic - I was served with a pay rent or quit..
Get over yourselves - this is real life not a script or treatment awaiting sale.

Below the line -- I'm sorry for your situation. Is there any reason you're not taking any of your anger out on the producers who are refusing to negotiate with us? Who want to break the unions, with yours possibly being next? Just curious. I'm hurting financially because of this strike too. I'm happy to discuss the issues with you, if it's possible for you to do it civilly. I suspect it might not be, but I have hope.
