The WGA has just announced plans for a 1 p.m. news conference. It says it's to announce its decision regarding the Feb. 14 NAACP Image Awards, set to be broadcast on Fox.
Release doesn't say just what that decision is. However, since reps from the NAACP and the Image Awards are slated to be at the presser, it's a good bet the WGA plans to give the show a waiver. After all, it would be kinda awkward if the Guild turned to the NAACP reps and said, "Psych! No waiver for you!"
Like we said, we're betting on a waiver.

They better given the lack of divercity in that bunch

Nice, Frank. People tried to engage you on the other thread about your ridiculous racism accusations, they argued you into the ground, you had nothing. Now you revive it over here. What's very clear: You are a shill attempting to smear the guild with despicable accusations that you can't even back up. Tell you what, Frank, I picket with fantastic African American writers everyday that I'm sure would love to talk to a true African American, or someone who's genuinely engaged in the African American cause, about diversity. Care to give me an e-mail address? Even a temporary one at a site like hotmail, and I can set it up. If you truly care about guild diversity, instead of just smearing the guild as part of your shill duties, you'll jump on this chance. Post back and let me know how to contact you.

Residuals? This is big I know, but what if it wasn't a focus. My thoughts are in those shoes - thinking that I may have to shell out for some smuck, um? Well, then again, hey! Show me the money! The theory being, fairness and forsight, a percentage of production costs off residual prognosis. This is a leverage, an either or-a certain and or more. Actually production loses there, period. Rather than waiting to get paid, so the question is, who monitors residual leverage, which can actually be more?
Just tryin' to mess things up for everybody! Hey, check it out, since it is time to be a slut:http://www.tv.sfhf.com/Voodoo Child.pdf
I'm gonna spring on Grey's soon and will need a job! :>
Since, you know-um?

It's not gonna be on your terms, at least not anymore, the wga got a god complex, they think everything they do is right, they can't be wrong no way!!!!They know whats good for the entire industry,no the entire working class, ask one simple question and the wagons get circled. Well sorry to enlighten you , there's a chance that the wga may have been wrong!!!!!about this whole strike and the way it conducts itself. But the time for posts are over,we too, have rights and intent to exercise them, the truth needs to be told and the public needs to hear it,the wga does not hold a monoply on the right to picket and call the press,do you ever consider the damage you have created? The havoc you have really created, that david young bragged about in the la times?Do expect us to lay down and take it?

Nice way to address my post, Shill Frank. Are you no longer African American? The offer to hook you up with African American writers still stands, but that's not really your agenda, is it? Your agenda is to destroy the union. Just more non-sequitur shill gobbly-gook. If I was your shill boss, I'd give you a demotion and send you back to grammar school.

I may not spell right ,but I know what I'm talking about, and you can say anything you need to me in person how about feb.9?
Posted by: Frank Sr. | January 15, 2008 at 03:00 PM
Sure, Frank. Happy to talk to you anytime. Why Feb 9th? Why not tomorrow? Why not today? If you really are a show biz employee as opposed to a shill (which you sound like), I'm happy to discuss any of the issues with you in a civil manner. Would you like me to bring an African American writer friend so you can address your deep concerns for diversity in the union? Or any of the other issues you bring up but never follow up on when anyone challenges you? Who are you, Frank? What's your deal? What's your profession? If you expect any kind of real dialogue, you need to stop essentially saying "Writers bad," sputtering AMPTP cliches, and start being a real person. I'm happy to discuss the mistakes of the WGA. Where perhaps they could be doing things differently. How about you? Are you capable of giving a moment's thought to the possibility that the AMPTP might shoulder any of the blame for what's going on? Unless you work for AMPTP, you should be able to do that. But until then... if it looks like a shill, and it sounds like a shill... you get the picture, Frank. I'd welcome a discussion with a real person. Are you one?
